Mr. Stoneback has worked for the City of Evanston since 1985 and has served in several key leadership roles. In 2022 Mr. Stoneback was promoted from Public Works Director to Deputy City Manager. As Pulbic Works Director, Mr. Stoneback was responsible for water treatment, infrastructure maintenance, engineering, capital planning, refuse, recycling and forestry services. Mr. Stoneback is also a former City of Evanston Utilities Department Director and Water Superintendent and is credited with leading the City's Long Range Sewer Improvement Program, the largest public works project ever undertaken by the City.
