Sean Flynn is the Director of Government Affairs for Illinois American Water and has been in his role since the fall of 2018. In this role, he provides lobbying services and representation before the Illinois General Assembly, Office of the Governor of Illinois, the Illinois Commerce Commission and various administrative agencies and departments of the State of Illinois. Also, in his role, he serves on various Boards as a representative of Illinois American Water (e.g. Illinois Energy Association, National Association of Water Companies – Illinois Chapter and the Institute for Regulatory Policy Studies.
Prior to his role as Director of Government Affairs at Illinois American Water, he worked at Neil F. Flynn & Associates for approximately four years where he provided legislative and regulatory services. Mainly provided lobbying services and representation before the Illinois General Assembly, Office of the Governor of Illinois and various administrative and departments of the State of Illinois.
Prior to his role at Neil F. Flynn & Associates, he worked for approximately six and a half years for the Speaker’s Office, specifically, as a member of the Democratic Research and Appropriations Staff. He worked as an appropriations and substantive analyst for a variety of topic areas and committees. Prior to working as a full-time analyst, he did various political work for the Democratic Party of Illinois.
