Water Affordability Action Plans

Nationally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that 12–19 million households lack affordable access to water. To better understand the challenges facing its residents, Cook County launched a Water Affordability Program, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and administered by Elevate. As part of this initiative, the Villages of Lansing, Lynwood, and Richton Park, Illinois, received water affordability analyses conducted by the GFRC.
